At SERVPRO of South Fleming Island/ North Bradford County, we not only strive to provide the best possible experience for our customers when it comes to service, quality of work, and safety practices, but we want to create the same environment for our employees as well. That is why every Friday, we bring our whole team together to participate in safety training.
Our weekly safety training covers a wide range of topics from wearing proper protective gear when working in hazardous conditions and property testing PPE to ensure a proper fit, to heat safety and driving safety. We like to focus our weekly topics on what we currently have going on throughout projects, or potential hazards that could be on a job site we are actively working. This week our safety was on ladder safety, led by our restoration crew chief, Ken.
Ken went over proper ladder use by maintaining points of contact, what parts of the ladder are safe to stand on, weight restrictions, and signs to look for that could indicate that the ladder is unsafe for use. We encourage our team to get involved, ask questions or go over scenarios that could help in future situations.
